Star Trek Shepard
Not every ship in Starfleet is bright and shiny and not all of the crews perfect, well-adjusted figures suitable for a recruiting poster. The USS Shepard is an experimental Oberth-class science vessel thought lost until it was finally salvaged in the 24th century. Its crew is as much an anomaly as the ship: A young, untried Commander as its CO, a green Orion, a Trill, a doctor detached from the Marines, a grizzled, battle-hardened Andorian Master Chief Petty Officer taken out of retirement, another Chief Petty Officer with a grudge against Cardassians, and finally, a young fresh out of the Academy graduate, Ensign Dulak--a Cardassian who had joined Starfleet and who now has to struggle to find a place for himself at a time when many of his fellow shipmates are still recovering from the War.
